Playing Cards

Two decks so far: Pinstripe, a modern take on traditional cards, and Inkwell, born from doodling in school with blue and red Bic pens.

Pinstripe Playing Cards

A red royal flush of Pinstripe cards fanned out on a black background

My first foray into the world of playing card design. I made the original design in 2018 and successfully launched it on Kickstarter in March 2021.

Pinstripe Playing Cards feature a bold, sleek look, offering a modern take on traditional playing cards. The minimalist design catches the eye of your spectators by using stripes instead of traditional playing card pips. The suit can be identified in the corner or simply by card color!

What makes these playing cards so unique? Lay them all out and see the linear patterns that are formed!

Inkwell Playing Cards

A fan of Inkwell hearts with red and blue pen-drawn court cards

Inkwell Playing Cards are born from my two passions, art and playing cards, combined in a flashy yet elegant design.

It is inspired by my days of doodling in school, when some of the only tools were blue and red Bic pens ๐Ÿ˜…

You can see at first glance that this project is much more traditional than my first. I have learned a lot along the way, so I have put all of my experience so far into this deck.

Whether it is the splatter on the box and card fronts, the pips and courts with scribbled pen design, or the aces with the fountain pen tips, the design of Inkwell Playing Cards revolves around one main theme... INK!
